How can I log in and register for USA Swimming?
All NEW swimmers should create a new USA Swimming account and add their swimmer as a member by following the link on the homepage. If your swimmer is unsure if they’ll swim more than a season, feel free to select the “Flex” membership option, which provides insurance coverage for practices and up to 2 swim meets. Swimmers planning on swimming all season, please select the “Premium” membership. If you are unsure, there is no harm in selecting “Flex”, but you may be asked to upgrade depending on your meet participation. I will renew registrations for all RETURNING swimmers with premium memberships, and OMNI will continue to cover the cost of those renewals.

Sports Psychology:
We continue to partner with Tim White, a licensed sport psychologist, Certified Mental Performance Consultant, and the owner of White House Sports Psychology. Through mental training lessons, facilitated by the coaches throughout the season, Tim helps our athletes build a strong mindset to help them train and perform with confidence in and out of the pool. Log into the OMNI website, hover over Healthy Bodies, and select Sports Psychology to access prior lessons at any time. Please reach out to your on-deck coaches or directly to Tim at any time if you’d like to explore working 1:1 with Tim or his staff.
Equipment and Merchandise:
Team suits and spirit wear are not mandatory, but are a nice way to unite us at swim meets!
OMNI Team Caps: If you need white silicone OMNI cap (not personalized), they are available for purchase for $18. Please get in touch with Coach Lindsey or Anika. Personalized cap orders are held a few times throughout the year.
Swim Outlet Team Store: Omni Otters Swim Club (OMNI) Team Store. Our team suits, TYR Synapse, are posted to this site and available for purchase here, but please do not feel undue pressure to purchase, any competitive suit will do - green is great! Check the sale section on SwimOutlet!
Additional recommended equipment by group:
Rookies: 1-piece swimsuit, 2 pairs of competitive goggles (recommend Speedo Vanquisher or something similar), 2 caps, fins (preferably short, zoomer-style, not long scuba-style),
Age Group: 2 pairs of competitive goggles (recommend Speedo Vanquisher or something similar), fins (preferably short, zoomer-style, not long scuba-style), 2 caps
Pre-Seniors/Seniors: Fins, snorkel, paddles, tennis shoes, board, buoy, 2 pairs of goggles and 2 caps.
Parent Involvement:
Meet Officials: Minnesota swimming needs more officials to appropriately staff swim meets. All training is provided, no competitive experience is required. Officials get to be on deck during meets, get fed by the host team, and receive payment for sessions served if you choose to do additional training for specialized meet roles. Please contact me with interest or speak with an official at any meet.
Board Meetings: OMNI is governed by a parent volunteer Board of Directors. We always welcome new faces, feedback, and helpful hands as we plan and run meaningful events for our swimmers. Board meetings are typically held on the third Tuesday of the month in the hallway outside the pool area during practice.
Helpful Apps and Online Resources:
OMNI Private Facebook Page: Please find us on Facebook by clicking on the link on our homepage. This private page is a great way to enjoy pictures from team events, and receive helpful reminders about upcoming deadlines.
OMNI Swim Club Instagram Page: Follow us for swimming-related videos, tips, and social events.
Meet Mobile: An app that allows you to track your swimmer’s entry times and unofficial results at meets.
SE Motion App (formerly OnDeck): An app that allows you to track team information, as well as a user-friendly way to reference your swimmer’s top times as well as where they sit on the MN Swimming Time Standards.
USA Swimming: A website that includes additional resources on technique, nutrition, and developing mental toughness, in addition to other topics.
